Description

"Hybrid heating" is a combination of the FAST/SPS process and one or more heating systems, which normally influence the press tool systems from the outside. The thermal gradients of a standard FAST/SPS system, which are typically directed from the inside to the outside, can thus be compensated by the inversely directed gradients of the additional heating system. Further improvements result for the heating rates, with simultaneously optimized homogeneity and including all the advantages mentioned above.

Hybrid technology is particularly advantageous for avoiding radial temperature gradients in large-format components or materials that are not sufficiently conductive.
