Project data

Project management organisation PTJ / WING
Project number 03X3515D
Term 01.06.2008 - 31.05.2011

Description

The main goal of the project was the development of new metal-matrix composites (MMC) to produce wear-resistant mass production components and their coating respectively via application and qualifying of new short-period-sintering processes (Spark Plasma Sintering (SPS) and Spark Plasma Consolitation (SPC)). Within the scope of the submitted joint project, an enhancement of the short-period-sintering concepts working according to the principle of FAST/SPS took place at FCT in cooperation with the project partners to produce large quantities
